Four-point contact bearing (Type X)

Type-X Four-point contact bearing differs from type-A and type-C bearings in the groove shape. The center of the circle with the type-C bearing raceway as radius is on the centerline of the ball. For type-A bearing, the raceway contacts with the ball in angular that the center of the circle with raceway radius is off from the centerline of the ball and is symmetrically distributed on the centerline. While the raceway on each side of the type-X bearing has two radius centers, all offset from the centerline of the steel ball, which allows the type-X bearing to form a four-point contact between the steel ball and the raceway.
